Being "different" is difficult to accept at any time in your life, but for a very young child it is particularly challenging and upsetting.
Reading Lights is a series of four comic books produced by Comic Company for 4 to 7-year-olds which address in a simple but creative way what it is like to be "different". Each of the books has an animal as its central character. |

These innovative, humorous and beautifully illustrated books have been designed to develop children's strengths and confidence.
The stories can be enjoyed by children alone, but it is likely that teachers or parents will want to read and discuss them together.
The books are accompanied by a big colourful poster and 4 photocopiable resource sheets that suggest activities and provide a helpful discussion framework.
